Women have been an integral part of lighthouse keeping since the early years of the U.S. Lighthouse Service in the 18th century. Join us to learn about pioneering women lighthouse keepers from around the country, including at stations in the Pacific Northwest. Our education crew will also discuss the significance of U.S. lighthouse history and what life was like for the people who served at them. Talk runs 45 minutes followed by a time for questions in the Ford Room. Seating for 50 is first-come, first, serve.
