Building a Half Hull Model

Developed to design ships, scale half-hull models were only invented in the 1790s. They provided a quick and efficient method for transferring measurements from the model to the full-sized vessel. In this class you will learn the principles of how half-hull models were made. You will use templates to create the individual lifts, then glue and shape into the scale model that you will take home. Beginner: No previous woodworking experience necessary and all tools will be provided.
